  • August 5, 2019

TSN. Hydro Flask Coffee Sverige .ca presents its latest weekly power rankings for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League staff. Rankings were weighted evenly between separate lists made by TSN Radio host and soccer analyst Gareth Wheeler as well as TSN.cas soccer editors. 1. Arsenal  (Last Week- 1) The Gunners moved five points clear at the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Liverpool.  Santi Cazola scored in the first half and Aaron Ramsey fired home from 25 yards out in the second to secure the win.  Arsenal have collected 25 points from their first 10 games. 2. Tottenham (LW- 4) Keeper Hugo Lloris was injured but stayed in the game during Spurs 0-0 draw with Everton. Lloris banged his head off Romelu Lukakus knee and though it looked as though he was going to be removed from the game, waived off backup keeper Brad Friedel and stayed in the game.  With the point, Tottenham now sits tied for second in points but fourth when goal differential is taken into account. 3. Chelsea (LW- 2) Chelsea fell five points off the top of the table as they were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle.  Though they controlled the majority of the play, they were not able to find a way past Newcastle keeper Tim Krul.  In fact, if it wasnt for keeper Petr Cech they would have slumped to an even bigger defeat. 4. Manchester City (LW- 5) While a goaltending controversy ruled the pre-game, Citys offence told the story in a landslide 7-0 victory over Norwich City.  Six different goal scorers and an own goal powered the attack and goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon picked up the clean sheet being forced to make only one save. 5. Liverpool (LW- 3) Neither of Liverpools in form strike partnership of Luis Suarez or Daniel Sturridge could find the mark as they fell 2-0 to top of the table Arsenal.  Suarez was the livelier of the duo but had numerous attempts on goal turned away as his side suffered its second defeat of the season. 6. Everton (LW- 7) Both team had chances but in the end Everton and Tottenham played to a 0-0 draw.  In a back in forth contest, neither team was able to grab control and find the marker that would give them the game.  Keeper Tim Howard was strong in goal earning himself another clean sheet. 7. Southampton (LW- 6) After conceding a goal in the opening minute to Stokes keeper, Jay Rodriguez struck back before the half in a 1-1 draw.  Southampton pressed the action late and almost had the winning marker but in the end had to settle for the single point. 8. Manchester United (LW- 8) Antonio Valencia, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney all scored in the first 22 minutes of the game as United cruised to a 3-1 victory over Fulham.  Though Uniteds second half performance wasnt as dominant as the first they were never in danger of leaving with anything but all three points in this contest. 9. Hull City (LW- 10) A first half own goal helped Hull take a 1-0 victory over Sunderland.  Hull played the entire second half against nine men after two red cards late in the opening half sealed Sunderlands fate in the contest.  Though they were not able to score a second goal, Hull did control the action for the majority of the game. 10. Newcastle United (LW- 13) Two goals in 21 minutes were enough to give Newcastle a 2-0 victory over title contenders Chelsea.  Yoan Gouffran scored in the 68th minute and Loic Remy put the game out of reach with a second goal in the 89th.  Newcastle had to withstand lots of pressure from their opponents and in the end were able to collect their fourth win of the season. 11. West Bromwich Albion (LW- 12) A goal in each half was enough to lead West Brom to a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.  Saido Berahino and Gareth McAuley each scored and Stephane Sessegnon was influential for the winning side. 12. Cardiff City (LW- 16) In the first top flight South Wales derby, Cardiff earned a 1-0 victory over Swansea on the strength of a 62nd minute goal by Steven Caulker.  The former Swansea man fired home a header to give the home side a victory and bragging rights over their rival.  13. Swansea City (LW- 9) In their first top flight derby match against their South Wales rival, Swansea fell 1-0 at the hands of Cardiff City.  Michu continues to struggle for Swansea and was subbed off in the 65th minute and keeper Michael Vorn was sent off in stoppage time.  14. Aston Villa (LW- 11) Christian Benteke had the best chance of the contest but he wasnt able to find the mark as Aston Villa drew West Ham 0-0.  Andreas Weimann also had a chance go by the boards as Villa left Upton Park with a point for their efforts. 15. West Ham United (LW- 15) After three straight home losses, the Hammers finally earned a point at home in a scoreless draw against Aston Villa.  West Ham enjoyed more of the possession during the game but were not able to break the deadlock.  West Ham have gone 375 minutes without scoring a goal at home. 16. Stoke City (LW- 17) Keeper Asmir Begovic scored for Stoke in the opening minute of the game but it wasnt enough as they split the points with Southampton in a 1-1 final.  Begovics strike ties him with Dwight Yorke and Chris Sutton for the fourth fastest goal in Premier League history. 17. Fulham (LW- 14) Fulham manager Martin Jol is back in the hot seat after his side fell 3-1 to Manchester United.  Alexander Kacaniklic pulled a goal back for the Cottagers in the 65th minute but it wasnt enough to get them back into the game.  Sascha Riether was charged with violent conduct by the FA following the contest for a stamp on United midfielder Adnan Januzaj and given a three-match ban. 18. Norwich City (LW- 18) For 16 minutes Norwich were even with Manchester City, however they were torn apart over the remainder of the game as they fell 7-0.  Keeper John Ruddy had a nightmare performance as he gave up goals to six different goal scorers and a seventh to one of his own men.  Norwich never threatened the City goal. 19. Sunderland (LW- 19) A Carlos Jimenez Cuellar own goal in the first half and red cards to both Lee Cattermole and Andrea Dossena doomed Sunderland to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hull City.  Adam Johnson came on as a substitute and had the best chance to rescue a point for Sunderland but saw it turned away by Hull keeper Steve Harper. 20. Crystal Palace (LW- 20) Bottom of the table Crystal Palace fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion.  This defeat was the seventh in a row for Palace who have only one once during the season.  Adlene Guedioura had the best chance for the losing side. Hydro Flask Sverige .
